This is the new CELinux phone that is in prototype stage right now. In the picture above it was in the terminal mode and not in it's easy to use gui. I had to use the Qualcomm PDQ case as a base cause it was very hard to make my own case. And I had some sections of the case cut out so I covered them up as best I could. This phone has telnet running so if you attach it to your desktop and press the sync button it will allow you to go in and edit anything you want via your desktop. As you can see it is kinda diferent that many cell phones in that it has buttons between the regular touch pads. These are used to enter text very fast in case you are running in the terminal mode or you just need to jot somthing down. The screen is not touch usable as of now because the touchpanel drivers are not working. But right now that is not important.
I recently took this phone with me on a trip and I was able to telnet into my home computer no problem from 200 miles away and while I was talking to my friends I was also writing this webpage. All on the phone. Right now it is kinda a geek project but in the future I think this could be a very usable item. Please post questions/comments on the message boards and I will answer them as best I can. Thanks
